Automatic Funds Transfer (AFT)

A customer who has checking, savings and/or loans with Farmers State Bank may arrange to have specific amounts transferred between accounts and/or payments made according to a written authorization agreement between the bank and the customer.

Bank-by-Mail

Farmers State Bank provides bank-by-mail envelopes so that customers may conveniently conduct banking business from their homes. Transactions are processed and accounts credited the same day received.

Combined Statements

Combined statements allow our customers to receive one statement reflecting multiple deposit accounts and/or loan account balances. This feature offers a complete picture of financial activities, assists in bookkeeping and account balancing. The customer may choose which accounts are to be included on the combined statement.

Credit Life and Accident & Disability Insurance

Available to customers on extensions of credit through the loan department.

Debit Card

Farmers State Bank offers a debit card that works with a checking account. The card may be used at ATMs for cash or to purchase goods wherever VISA is accepted. The transaction is handled like a credit card. However, the money you spend is withdrawn from your checking account and is reflected on your monthly statement. The Debit Card allows account access 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, eliminates need for excess identification at checkout and provides purchasing power at VISA merchants worldwide. Direct Deposit

Arrangements can be made to automatically deposit payroll checks, retirement funds or other funds directly into a checking or savings account at Farmers State Bank.

Medallion Stamp Service

This program approved by the Securities Transfer Association, enables participating financial institutions to guarantee signatures, especially for signing transfers of stock certificates. The Medallion Stamp service is available in each office.

Night Depository Services

The night depository is located near the drive-up entrance at each bank office. A customer may deposit cash and/or checks at any time. Night depositories are opened each business day, Monday through Friday.

Notary Public

Notary Service is provided to customers at no charge. A notary is a person commissioned by the State for a stipulated period of time to administer certain oaths, to attest and certify as to signature, and to take affidavits and depositions, thus giving them authenticity in the eyes of the law. The Notary must witness the signing of any document and proper identification is required.

Notaries are available in each bank office.

Safe Deposit Boxes

Safe deposit boxes are available for rental to bank customers.

They are accessible during regular banking hours and provide a convenient, private and secure means for customers to safeguard their valuables.

Savings Bonds

Series EE and Series I Bonds

Series EE and Series I U.S. Savings Bonds can be purchased at each of the bank offices.

Stop Payments

Stop payments can be placed on checks for business and personal accounts. A stop payment request form has to be completed and signed by the customer.

Treasury, Tax and Loan Payments (TT&L)

The bank can accept payments made by commercial taxpayers to the U.S. Treasury (payroll, FICA, income tax, excise tax, and federal unemployment tax). Payment to an authorized TT&L account at a bank satisfies the U.S. government's requirement for payments by commercial taxpayers. The bank submits payments to the Federal Reserve Bank with proper notification to the Internal Revenue Service upon receipt.

Travelers Checks

Travelers Checks are available in denominations of $20, $50 or $100, without charge to our bank customers.

ATM Services

ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) access is available in the Markesan and Fox Lake communities.

Farmers State Bank is a member of the Acce$$ program which allows customers of participating banks access to ATMs without being charged a usage fee.

Visa Card

Farmers State Bank offers a VisaCard™ through the Elan Card Services. The credit card company allows a cardholder to use the card as a method of identification or payment for goods and services. The cardholder may present the credit card at any participating bank for direct cash advances.

Wire Transfer

Wire Transfer service is used to transfer funds from one institution to another. Upon notification from a wire transfer department at a correspondent bank, customer accounts are given credit and funds are immediately available.
